Let there be rock...

Rockestra is a student-led string ensemble run as an unofficial club. It was founded and conducted by recent graduate Ian Koh (Class of 2019). It is dedicated to performing orchestral arrangements of popular music, including but not limited to classic rock, pop, and film soundtracks. Our community is welcoming to upper and lower classmen alike, and our rehearsals are a refreshing balance between having fun and improving our skills as independent musicians and leaders. Rockestra performances also raise money for the Fender Music Foundation, a charity organization that is dedicated to supplying musical education and equipment to school districts that cannot afford them.

No audition is required. Students must be enrolled in a music performance ensemble to be eligible to participate.
